About the race
The Sprint Series Adventure Race at South Durras, Batemans Bay NSW is a team orienteering event combining paddling, mountain biking and running through coastal bushland and beaches. It is a four-hour event held on 21 February 2027 with teams of two. Kayaking equipment is supplied as part of entry and mountain-bike hire is available.
Two course options are listed with approximate leg distances:
- Classic: run 5–7 km, mountain bike 15 km, kayak 5 km
- Novice: run 3 km, mountain bike 8–10 km, kayak 2 km
The course route is kept secret until race day when teams receive maps and navigate to checkpoints together. Kids aged eight and over may compete when accompanied by an adult. The event notes that participants will travel on calm waterways, bushland trails and beaches around South Durras, and lists race headquarters at that location.
Pricing tiers are provided: early bird from $119 per person, standard and late pricing higher. The event includes a weekend program with pre-race training sessions for navigation and kayaking.
