The event includes two race options:
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- One-mile kids fun run
Location and Course
The races take place on the WB&A trail at Glendale Splash Park in Glenn Dale, Maryland. The 10K course is an out-and-back route on the historic Washington, Baltimore and Annapolis Trail. This trail features light rolling hills.
Event Details
This is the 40th year of the Springburst event. For the first time in 2026, a virtual race option is available for the 10K. Participants in the virtual race have until April 26, 2026 to complete the distance.
Awards and Premiums
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in the 10K. Age group awards are also presented. All 10K participants registered by March 27, 2026 receive a race T-shirt. Late registrants are not guaranteed a shirt or specific size.
Registration Information
Prince George's Running Club members save $5.00 on registration fees. The kids fun run is free for children 12 and under, and includes a finisher’s medal and a post-run treat. Free parking is available at Glenn Dale Splash Park.
Series Affiliation
The 10K race is part of the Maryland Road Runners Club of America MDRRCA Race Series GrandPrix. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
