About the race

The 25. SPREEWALDMARATHON 2027 takes place from 22 to 25 April 2027 in the Spreewald region with events in Burg, Lübbenau and Straupitz. The program spans many disciplines including road running, night runs, walken, hiking, skating, cycling, paddling, stand up paddling, longboard, scooter, unicycle and a Run & Bike team event.

Key features include night runs with an included T-shirt and a special Spreewaldgurke in a unique color for each night run. The Run & Bike Marathon is a two person team event in which teammates alternate running and cycling. Marathon and skate marathon award trophies for places one to three in all age groups at the certificate printing.

There are several family and children events with short non timed distances and age rules for the U12 and family runs. Hikes to the Gasthaus Wotschofska include a certificate and a green Gurkenmedaille; some hikes include food, a boat or carriage ride and are limited in participant number. Cycling events include organized radmarathons and tours with participant limits and binding start blocks. Paddling and SUP offer multiple distances and have a defined participation period; late registrations become possible only on site after the stated date.
