Spooky Shuffle - Van Nuys
This event takes place on 10/25/2026 at Woodley Park in Van Nuys, California, near 6350 Woodley Ave. The entry choices include three distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
Course routes use open park paths, cross grass, pass under a road tunnel, and loop around a lake. The 5K is one loop around the lake. The 10K consists of two loops, and the half marathon covers two loops plus the 10K route, including a section under a bridge and an alternate return path. Participants should be considerate of other park users because the courses are on shared paths.
Multiple water stations are positioned along the routes. The finish area has an aid station with water, electrolytes, and snacks. Each station carries a first aid kit and crew members have received CPR training. Turns are marked with chalk and runner turn signs.
Logistics include free parking in the park lot with additional parking available on Woodley Ave. Bibs should be worn on the front of the shirt for timing and photography. A gear check is available at the registration tent; participants must provide their own bag. All finishers receive a race medal and overall first place medals are awarded to the top male and female in each distance. An early start may be pre-arranged for half marathoners and early starters are not eligible for awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
