Event Overview
The Spirit of Magic Valley running event takes place in Twin Falls, Idaho. All race distances are held along the Snake River Canyon Rim Trail, providing views of the Shoshone Falls, the Perrine Bridge, and the Evel Knievel Jump Site. Each race begins and ends at Shoshone Falls.
The event is organized by the Run It Forward Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports the development of young athletes by assisting with registration fees, travel, and coaching expenses.
Distance Options
Participants can choose from four different distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- Kids 1 mile run
Course and Amenities
The courses feature several aid stations providing water and Gatorade. For the half marathon, aid stations are located at various intervals including the Evel Knievel Jump Site, Eastland/Pole Line Trailhead, Visitor Center, Waterfall Bridge, and Washington/Federation. The 10K course includes aid stations at the Evel Knievel Jump Site and the Eastland/Pole Line Trailhead.
Registered participants receive a cotton/polyester event shirt and food at the finish line. A race packet, including a bib number and a goody bag with a gel, is provided during pickup. Finisher medals are available for an optional additional fee.
Logistics
Packet pickup is held the day before the event at a local sporting goods store in Twin Falls. The deadline to ensure a race shirt is in late May. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
