The Event
The Calabogie Peaks Trail Run takes place at Calabogie Peaks, the tallest public ski resort in Ottawa. It is situated at the base of Dickson Mountain and at the shore of Lake Calabogie. The course offers a mix of wooded singletrack trails and includes some technical running and climbs with views over the lake.
The Course
Two distances are offered:
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- Half Marathon (21K / 13.1 miles)
The trail type is wooded mountain trails. The average altitude for the area is 272 meters (900 feet). Course maps and elevation profiles are available for each distance. The event is held in summer, with an average temperature of 18°C (64°F).
Additional Information
The event is part of a Spartan OCR festival weekend. After the race, participants can visit local microbreweries or explore Lake Calabogie by pontoon boat.
