Space Race - Truth or Consequences
The Space Race is a running event with multiple distances. It is presented by Spaceport America and takes place on May 9, 2026, in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.
The event offers three distances:
- 15K run
- 10K run/walk
- 5K run/walk
The event is the second annual edition. It is held at Spaceport America, described as the world's first purpose-built commercial spaceport and one of 14 FAA-licensed spaceports in the United States.
All participants receive a custom-designed race shirt and a finisher's medal. The event is stroller-friendly and has a 3-hour time limit for the 15K distance. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top finishers in standard age group categories.
Packet pickup is available the day before the event at two locations: Truth or Consequences Brewing Co. in Truth or Consequences and a second location in Las Cruces. Race day packet pickup starts at 7 a.m. at the race venue. Online registration is required to participate. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
