The second annual Space Race Presented by Spaceport America takes place on May 9, 2026 at Spaceport America, Co Rd A201, Truth or Consequences, NM 87901. The event offers multiple road race distances on a course near the Spaceport America site.

All participants receive a custom-designed Space Race shirt and a finisher's medal. The 15K has a three-hour time limit. The event is stroller-friendly and recognizes mothers with flowers at the finish line. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and across age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 and over.
Early packet pickup is available Friday, May 8, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at two locations: 2001 E Lohman Ave Suite #115, Las Cruces, NM 88001, and 410 N Broadway St, Truth or Consequences, NM. Race day packet pickup and check-in occur at the race start/finish location at Spaceport America. Online registration is required. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
