Space City Ultra
Space City Ultra is a trail running event at Brazos River Park in Sugar Land, Texas on February 27, 2027. The event offers multiple looped distances on beginner-friendly singletrack with scenic river and wooded terrain. The course uses roughly 3-mile and 5-mile loops; GPX and elevation files are provided for those loop options.
Distances:
- 50K - six loops
- 25K - three loops
- 10K - two loops
- 5K - one loop
The event limits entries to 500 runners. Aid coverage centers on a primary full aid station stocked with drinks, sodas, sweets, salty snacks, sandwiches and warm food items, fruit, basic medical supplies (no NSAIDs), and feminine care products. The race operates cupless stations so participants must carry reusable cups, bottles, or hydration packs. A designated drop bag area is available only at the main aid station. Pacers are not allowed.
Parking is on the Brazos River Park grounds. There are five to ten hotels within approximately five miles of the park. Race shirts are provided for all distances and finishers receive a 5 inch medal. Awards are given to the top three overall at each distance, top three relay teams, and top two masters 50 plus per distance; awards are presented in male, female, and nonbinary categories.
Volunteer shifts range from four to eight hours and include park entry, a camping area, race merchandise, and a provided meal. Volunteer shift rewards apply toward future event registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
