Space City Ultra - February 27, 2027
Space City Ultra is a looped trail event at Brazos River Park in Sugar Land, Texas, offering four distances:
- 50k - six loops
- 25k - three loops
- 10k - two loops
- 5k - one loop
The course uses beginner-friendly singletrack with river views and wooded terrain. The event limits entries to 500 runners. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Fleet Feet Sugarland. Parking is on the Brazos River Park grounds and there are several hotels within about five miles of the park. The closest major airports listed are Hobby and Bush IAH.
There is one main aid station located on the loop (listed at roughly 3.12 / 5.3 miles). Aid offerings are full service and include drinks and electrolyte mixes, sodas, sweet and salty snacks, PB&J and other simple foods, fruit, and basic medical supplies; no NSAIDs are provided. The event is cupless at aid stations, so runners are expected to use reusable cups, bottles, or hydration packs. Drop bags are allowed only at the main aid station. Pacers are not permitted. Distance changes may be made online until the Wednesday of race week or in person subject to sold-out distances; participants who change distances after their race begins must complete that distance to receive the finisher medal.
Finishers receive a 5 inch medal. Awards include top placements by distance, relay team awards, and masters categories; male, female, and non-binary award categories are listed. Volunteer shifts range from four to eight hours and include park entry, a camping area, event merchandise, and a provided meal, with tiered registration incentives for volunteers.
