Event Overview
The Space City 10 Miler occurs in Houston, Texas, utilizing the University of Houston - Clear Lake campus as the primary venue. This athletic event is part of the HARRA Fall Series and features a variety of distances and participation formats conducted on a certified course.
Participants can choose from several entry options:
- 10 Miles: An individual running race.
- 10 Miles Relay: Two-person relay for Men, Women, or Mixed teams.
- 5K: A shorter individual running race.
The route consists of a single loop through the Clear Lake area, with the start and finish lines located at the university campus. For the 10 Miles individual race, cash awards are provided for the top three male and female finishers, the first-place masters participants, and those who establish new course records. Age group awards are also presented to the top three finishers in five-year increments for both the 10 Miles and 5K events.
Entrants typically receive a long-sleeve shirt and a finisher's medal. However, a specific registration tier is available for those who prefer a reduced fee in exchange for opting out of the shirt and medal. Packet pickup is organized at local athletic stores in the days preceding the event, with a final pickup opportunity available on-site on the morning of the races.
