Southtown River Run 10K
The Southtown River Run 10K is presented by the community at San Antonio Mennonite Church and takes place on January 2, 2027, at 1443 S St Mary's St., San Antonio, TX. The run is an expression of the church's mission and neighborhood outreach programs, rooted in weekly gatherings that focus on sharing peace and service.
Distances offered include:
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- 10K (6.2 Miles)
- 15K (9.3 Miles)
Registration is required and participation is limited. The listed registration fee for the 10K event is $47.00. Registration revenue supports the church ministries and neighborhood outreach while covering event operations.
Included with registration are a choice of a custom Backline Threads race shirt or hat, Big Timmy's Trail Treat before, during, and after the run, coffee and hot chocolate and smoothies, Tailwind Nutrition hydration stations, a personalized New Year resolution race bib, event photography, and a waterproof commemorative sticker medal. A newly renovated nature play area is available so families can be on site together.
Timing combines Strava based recording with volunteer manual timing and bib records. Results and overall standings are posted after the event and awards are presented to the top three finishers in each distance. If dangerous weather requires postponement the event will move to a later date; cold temperatures alone will not cancel the gathering and the church will be open with warm drinks.
