2027 New Year Chase Peace Run
The San Antonio Mennonite Church organizes a community run on January 2, 2027 in downtown San Antonio near Brackenridge High School. The event is presented as an expression of the church's year-round neighborhood programs, hospitality, service, discipleship, and counseling, and aims to support those ministries through fundraising.

Registration is required, participation is limited, and fees apply; registration opens December 3, 2026 and closes January 1, 2027. The event has a stated fundraising goal of $10,000 for the church's ministries and neighborhood outreach.
Included with registration are a choice of a custom race shirt or hat, food from Big Timmy's Trail Treat, coffee and hot chocolate, Tailwind Nutrition hydration stations, a personalized resolution race bib, photography, and a waterproof commemorative sticker medal. The venue includes a renovated nature play area for families. New features for this year include a redesigned finish line for improved spectator viewing and customizable resolution bibs during packet pickup or race morning.
Timing combines app-based recording using Strava with manual timing and bib records maintained by volunteers. Results and overall standings are posted after the event, with awards for the top three finishers in each distance. If dangerous weather requires postponement, the event will move to a later date; cold temperatures alone will not cancel the gathering.
