Event
The Southern Rail Trail Running Festival is scheduled for 30th May 2026 in South Gippsland, Victoria. The event follows the route of the Great Southern Rail Trail and is presented by Elite Energy. The 2025 edition is described as the inaugural running of the event.
The festival lists a charity partnership with EB Research. The site explains that Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) is a condition that causes fragile skin, blisters, wounds that do not heal, and can be lethal for some.

The course follows sections of the Great Southern Rail Trail, a former railway corridor that stretches over 130 km. The trail passes through forests, rolling farmland and small towns, and includes multiple restored trestle bridges and views toward Wilsons Promontory. The event will operate a pin-free option by 2026 using reusable BibSnaps, available for purchase as part of entry or at the event; traditional pins may be used if participants bring them.
