South Nyack 10-Miler
The event centers on Franklin Street Park in Nyack, New York, and uses a varied course along the Hudson River to Piermont and back. The organizer offers both an in-person 10 miles race and a virtual 10 miles option that can be run on a route chosen by the participant during the week following race day.
Distances include:
- 10 miles in-person along the Hudson to Piermont and back
- 10 miles virtual option, run on a route of the participant's choice
- Kids fun run, out-and-back on the Esposito Trail with two heats and a finish under the Rockland Road Runners arch
The race provides water stations and course marshalls while the course is open; once the course closes these services will be removed and the event is not recommended for walkers. Awards are presented to top overall finishers in Male Female and Non-binary categories and in five-year age groups. Every finisher in the kids run receives a medal.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Dick's Sporting Goods in the Palisades Mall to reduce congestion on race morning. Proceeds from the event benefit local first responders, Nyack-area food programs and the Rockland Road Runners Scholarship Fund. Members of the Rockland Road Runners Club receive a 15% registration discount and registrants may be eligible for a referral refund after referring five friends.
