South Nyack 10-Miler
The South Nyack 10-Miler is a community road race centered at Franklin Street Park in Nyack, NY. The course runs along the Hudson to Piermont and back, and the event includes in-person and virtual 10 mile options plus a short kids fun run.
Race distances:
- 10 Miles (in-person)
- 10 Miles (virtual)
- Kids races with short distances; two heats for younger and older children
The virtual event allows participants to run ten miles at a convenient time and route within the week following race day. If virtual runners use the in-person course, they will be on public roads and paths without Course Marshalls and should take appropriate care.
The kids fun run takes place on the Esposito Trail with an out and back route finishing under the Rockland Road Runners arch. Every child finisher receives a medal. The kids event is organized in two heats and offers short distances.
Proceeds benefit local first responders, Nyack-area food programs and the Rockland Road Runners Scholarship Fund. Awards are given to top overall finishers by gender categories including non-binary, and in five-year age groups. Packet pickup is available the day before at Dick's Sporting Goods in the Palisades Mall. The after-party at Franklin Street Park will include water, bagels, bananas, ice-cream and craft beer, and the Nyack Street Fair is a few blocks away.
