South Effingham NJROTC 5K
The 17th annual South Effingham NJROTC Cadet 5K takes place on September 19, 2026, at South Effingham High School in Guyton, Georgia. The course starts at the high school football stadium and follows a loop that leaves the school entrance, continues down Nease Road, then along St John and Hester roads before returning to the school. The event distance is 5K.
Registration for the event has a fee of $30.00; online registration opens July 27, 2026 and closes September 18, 2026. The event is presented by the South Effingham NJROTC program and is described as appropriate for runners aiming for a personal best or attempting their first 5K.
Proceeds benefit the 105 cadets of the South Effingham NJROTC. Funds will support participation in 24 NJROTC competitions during the 2026–2027 school year, including 14 overnight trips, 4 military base visits, 2 college campus visits, 2 summer camps, and one military ball.
