Event Overview
The South Darenth and Horton Kirby 10K is an outdoor running event organized by runhappyrunhealthy. The route starts at Heathside and utilizes a combination of roads, village streets, and country trails. Participants follow a course that passes alongside the River Darent and through Westminster Fields.
Course Details
The terrain includes several different surfaces and local landmarks. From Westminster Fields, the path heads toward the Dartford/Hawley road before following a country path toward Franks Lane. The route continues past a cricket ground, the Fighting Cocks pub, and a local church and school on Horton Road.
The final sections of the course involve a diagonal path across country fields leading to Skinney Lane and Rabbits Road. After a loop through Wilson Lane and Gills Road, participants enter Gills Farm. This section features scenic farmland where the London skyline is visible in the distance. The run concludes by heading back into the Heathside via a footpath near East Hill.

The event registration desk is located inside the South Darenth Village Hall (Jubilee Hall, DA4 9AZ), where participants can collect their numbers and access a bag drop service. The nearest railway station is Farningham Road.
Support and Amenities
