South Bay 24

South Bay 24 is a multi-distance endurance event held at Montgomery Waller Community Park in San Diego, located at 3043 Palm Avenue. The 2026 edition is the event's fifth annual running and begins in the evening. The event is limited to 225 total runners and is officially sanctioned by USATF.

The course consists of a 1.22 mile loop that combines trail, grass and bike path surfaces. For 2026 the loop will be run counter-clockwise around the park.

Available race options include a full 24 hour event plus shorter formats. The Hefty Half Marathon requires 15 laps, equaling 18.3 miles. Other on-site provisions for registered runners include a designated runner campsite area, a pancake breakfast, a happy hour, availability of beer and seltzers, a trucker hat provided with registration, finisher medals, belt buckles awarded to all 100 mile finishers, and prizes for overall winners in each category.
