Sörmland Ultra Marathon
The Sörmland Ultra Marathon, commonly referred to as SUM, is an endurance event covering a distance of approximately 50 km. The course is situated in the southern Stockholm area and primarily follows the first four stages of the Sörmlandsleden trail.
The route begins at Björkhagen with an initial loop on a local floodlit track. The terrain is characterized by its hilly nature as the trail winds through the Nacka Nature Reserve. Participants pass a variety of landscapes including golf courses, horse paddocks, cottages, and small lakes. A specific feature of the current course includes a crossing over a bridge toward Tyresta after passing Alby Friluftsgård, while maintaining the passage through Nyfors with views over Tyresö-Flaten.

The start is located approximately 200 meters behind Markuskyrkan in Björkhagen, which marks the beginning of the Sörmlandsleden. The finish line is situated at Rudan's Farm in Haninge, located about 25 km south of Stockholm City. Both the start and finish locations are accessible via public transport and by car, with parking available near the finish area at Haninge Centrum.
