Somerset Rail Trail Classic
The 23rd annual Somerset Rail Trail Classic will be held on Sunday, 12 July 2026. The event takes place on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, Australia’s longest recreational rail trail, and is an initiative of Somerset Regional Council.
The program offers both foot and bicycle options along the historic rail corridor. Distances available for participants include:
- 3 km run or walk
- 8 km run or walk
- 20 km bike ride
- 44 km bike ride
The course passes through sections of the Brisbane Valley and provides views of the Brisbane River in places along the trail. The event is presented as an opportunity to share an active and healthy lifestyle with family, friends or work colleagues and to experience features of the Somerset region.
