Somerset Rail Trail Classic : event overview
The 23rd annual Somerset Rail Trail Classic will be held on Sunday, 12 July 2026. The event takes place along the historic Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and is an initiative of Somerset Regional Council.
Participants may choose between running, walking or cycling options along the trail. Routes follow sections of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and pass through areas with views of the Brisbane Valley and the Brisbane River.

- 3 km run or walk
- 8 km run or walk
- 20 km bike ride
- 44 km bike ride
The event emphasises shared, active participation with family, friends or work colleagues and highlights features of the Somerset region. The program includes a team championship and lists sponsors and event beneficiaries as part of its organisation.
