Event overview
Solstice at the Lakes is a timed trail running event at Leybourne Lakes Country Park, Kent, held on Saturday 20 June to Sunday 21 June 2026. Race formats are multiple timed events with solo and team options:
- 6-hour (Solo)
- 12-hour (Solo)
- 24-hour (Solo, Pair Relay, Team Relay)
Runners cover as much distance as they can in the chosen time. Results are the total number of full laps completed before the official end of the race.
Course, facilities and rules
The course is a fully marked 2.5 km loop around Leybourne Lakes. The route is described as flat with a mix of maintained trail, gravel and tarmac. A race village provides food and drink, toilets, changing areas, rest zones, tables and seating. Official race timing, live lap updates and an on-site medical team are provided. Medals are awarded to runners who complete at least one lap; podium awards are given for Open and Female Solo races and for team races.
Event rules include a minimum age of 20 years on race day, visible bibs and registration check-in, and completion of the course on foot with no external assistance (including poles). Crewing is allowed only in designated support areas; relays permit only one runner on course at a time. The event is cupless, overnight participants must have a headtorch, and the last full lap before the official end time counts toward final distance. Paid parking is available on site and spectators are welcome. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
