About the race
The Solihull event on 9 August 2026 includes a half marathon, a 5k and a newly introduced kids race. The event is organised by RunThrough Events and supports Acorns Children’s Hospice. The event village and start area are located in Solihull town centre and are described as easily accessible by public transport.

The half marathon route is an undulating course on closed roads and tarmac paths. It starts and finishes in Solihull town centre and initially follows New Road into Malvern Park. Runners leave the park via Widney Manor Road to reach Knowle town centre, then pass through countryside around Barston and Eastcote where steeper inclines and declines occur. The route returns to Knowle before following Widney Manor Road and Malvern Park back to the town centre.
The 5k uses the same start and finish areas, follows the early section through Malvern Park and along Widney Manor Road, and has an earlier turnaround point. Both races finish at the same location in Solihull town centre. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
