Run Solihull Events
The Run Solihull event returns for its sixth year, offering a variety of distances on closed roads and tarmac paths. The event is based in Malvern Park, located in Solihull town centre, and supports the Acorns Children's Hospice.
Available race distances include:
- Half Marathon: An undulating course with 192m of elevation.
- 5k: An undulating course with 56m of elevation.
- Junior Race: A flat course with 15m of elevation.
The Half Marathon route starts and finishes in Malvern Park. Runners follow New Road and Widney Manor Road to reach Knowle town centre. The course then transitions into a countryside section through Barston and Eastcote, which features the steepest inclines and declines of the route, before returning to Knowle and heading back toward the town centre. Please note that a 3 hour cut-off time applies to the Half Marathon due to road closure restrictions.
Participants receive chip-timed results, a themed medal, free race photos, and post-race goodies. The course is marked at every kilometre with distance flags, and marshals are stationed along the route. An event village is located at the venue, featuring food and drink options.
