Soldier On Veterans Day 5K
The Soldier On Veterans Day 5K takes place on Sunday, November 8, 2026, at the Dalton American Legion on North St Rt 9 in Dalton. The event is organized by Soldier On in collaboration with the Berkshire Running Foundation and benefits Soldier On programs that serve at-risk veterans.
Registration fees are set by date: $30 until November 1, $35 through November 7, and $40 on race day. Students run free. An online processing fee applies and there are no refunds or deferments.
The course starts and finishes at the Dalton American Legion. Bib pickup is available on race morning at the Dalton American Legion. The first 100 registered runners receive technical race shirts. Post-race refreshments will be provided. Porta-potties and water will be available at the start and finish. Free and ample parking is provided at the Dalton American Legion.
Prizes will be awarded to the overall top male and female, and to top finishers in these age categories: 0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. An awards ceremony will take place after the race.
For safety, no dogs or pets are allowed in the race and the use of headphones is discouraged. Wheelchairs and disabled push strollers are welcomed; participants who need accommodations are asked to notify the organizers. If the event is canceled or postponed, organizers may convert the race to a virtual event and mail the full race goodie bag. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
