SoCalUltraTrail at Tejon Ranch
SoCalUltraTrail at Tejon Ranch is a trail running event organized by SoCalTrail at the Tejon Ranch Equestrian Center in Lebec, California. The races take place entirely on private Tejon Ranch land and run primarily on fire roads through varied terrain.
The event offers these distances:
- 100k: 61.6 miles, 12,002 ft elevation
- 50k: 32.3 miles, 5,651 ft elevation
- 25k: 15.86 miles, 2,858 ft gain
- 11k: 6.96 miles, 944 ft gain
Courses cross canyons, creeks, mountains and sagebrush plains and show views toward Mount Pinos, the high desert and the Central Valley. The area includes ancient oaks, seasonal poppy and wildflower blooms, and distant Joshua Trees. Runners may encounter wildlife such as Rocky Mountain elk, wild turkey, mule deer, wild boar, black bear, bobcat, coyotes, raptors and ranch cattle.
Race operations include fully marked courses for daytime and night running, chip timing, live GPS tracking, stocked aid stations with local run club staff, and professional medical and communications support at aid stations. Event amenities note overnight camping options, hotel rooms with an event rate, pacer and crew access at specific aid stations, and a finish festival with hot meals and a beer garden for those 21 and older.
