SoCalUltraTrail at Tejon Ranch
SoCalUltraTrail at Tejon Ranch is a trail running event organized by SoCalTrail at the Tejon Ranch Equestrian Center in Lebec, California. The event offers multiple marked trail courses across fire roads and varied southern California biomes.
Distances offered:
- 100k Tehachapi 61.6 miles (12,002' vert), 18-hour time limit.
- 50k Grapevine 32.3 miles (5,651' vert), 15.5-hour time limit.
- 25k Castac Lake 15.86 miles (2,858' gain).
- 11k Foothills 6.96 miles (944' gain).
Courses pass through canyons, creek corridors, oak stands and sagebrush plains, and provide views toward the Tehachapi range, Mount Pinos and the high desert. The 100k route reaches about 6,150 feet and both ultra distances include the Grapevine switchbacks with steep sustained climbing. Wildlife on course may include elk, mule deer, wild boar, black bear, bobcat, coyotes, raptors and ranch cattle.
Event services include fully marked routes for day and night running, chip timing, live GPS tracking, stocked aid stations staffed by local clubs, and professional medical support. Finish-line amenities include hot meals, a beer garden for 21 and over, event apparel and on-course photography. Awards and finisher items vary by distance; the 100k receives belt buckles and other distances receive finisher medals. Entry fees are non-refundable but transferable under the posted policy.
