Snowbasin by UTMB
Snowbasin by UTMB is set at Snowbasin Resort in the Northern Wasatch, with ridgelines, forested slopes, and views that stretch toward the Great Salt Lake. The venue combines alpine terrain with nearby urban amenities in Ogden.
On race day, flowing, runnable trails pass through sagebrush, aspen groves, evergreen forests, and open mountain terrain. The elevation profile is described as challenging yet achievable, rewarding rhythm and strategy as much as strength, with climbs that reveal broad mountain panoramas.
The weekend blends mountain and metro. Ogden is minutes from the start and offers dining, live music, and an active outdoor community centered around historic 25th Street. The event includes a central gathering area called Meet at the Moose, a lift-accessible, spectator-friendly hub for runners, families, and supporters.
Event dates span 10 September 2026 to 12 September 2026. Races listed include:
- 59 KM, elevation gain 1800 M+
- 29 KM, elevation gain 800 M+
UTMB Community Bibs are part of the event’s charitable activities. These bibs are connected to The IRONMAN Foundation and direct a portion of registration funds to local charities and trail stewardship programs; the foundation reports grant and volunteer activity across many initiatives since 2003.
