Event
The Snake River Canyon Half Marathon is scheduled for March 7, 2026 at Wawawai Landing, WA. The race is directed by the Palouse Road Runners and is held on the first Saturday in March each year. Registration opens November 1, 2025 and registration closes February 25.
Course and services
The event is a half marathon run on a flat, paved out-and-back course along Wawawai River Road beside the Snake River. The start and finish are at Wawawai Landing, at a river elevation of about 720 feet. Runners turn around near Water Canyon. The course is USATF certified and has mile markers every mile. Water stations are located about every 2 miles and toilets are available at all water stations.
Policies and prizes
Bibs may not be swapped. Refunds and deferrals are not offered; if the in-person race cannot be held, a virtual race will be provided instead. Running with pets, using strollers, or biking on the course are not allowed. The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged. Race shirts are available for purchase for those who register before February 1. Cash prizes of $200, $150 and $100 will be awarded to overall first, second and third place winners in the women's, men's and non-binary divisions.
