About the race
SMC Road Race Series is a non-profit running club based at Long Street Park, Smithfield NSW 2164. Races are professionally timed; all runners receive timing chips and bibs and all finishers receive an official electronic time.
The start and finish are co-located at Long Street Park. The course is fully marked with kilometre signs and turn markers and is open to the public, so runners should keep left and be courteous to other road users. The 21.1 km event is run as two full laps of the mapped course.
There is no dedicated parking lot; street parking is available. Organisers request that participants avoid parking in local business car parks or on grass verges to prevent towing.
Facilities at Long Street Park near the start area include toilets and an undercover bag drop where items may be left at the owner’s risk. Tables for drinks will be located near the start/finish area on both sides of the road, approximately at the 5 km mark. Due to current health regulations there are no staffed drink stations on the course, but a table at the start/finish will be available for runners to place their own drinks. A selection of post race refreshments will be available to competitors.
