Skyfire Race Series : Solitude Mountain Resort, Brighton, UT
The Skyfire Race Series is a four-race trail series held at Solitude Mountain Resort in Big Cottonwood Canyon, Brighton, Utah. Events run from August 15 through October 3, 2026. The series is organized as a progression of increasing distance and elevation gain across four separate races.
Distances and basic details for each race:
- The Spark: 5K, 900 ft vertical gain, starts near 8,055 ft, cost $35.
- The Ember: 5 miles, 1,145 ft vertical gain, starts near 8,055 ft, cost $45.
- The Inferno: 10K, 1,585 ft vertical gain, starts near 8,055 ft, cost $60.
- The OG BCC Classic: 10K, 1,989 ft vertical gain, starts near 8,055 ft, cost $60.
Each race takes place on mountain trails and includes postrace amenities. After individual races, participants are offered breakfast treats, stretching and/or complimentary massage sessions by RockSteady Bodyworks, and a raffle. The series emphasizes a stepwise increase in distance and terrain over the late summer and early fall running dates. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
