Siuslaw Dunes - Daybreak Racing
Siuslaw Dunes is a set of early-season point-to-point trail races held March 7, 2026, at Honeyman State Park near Florence, Oregon. The event is staged from the East Woahink Day Use area and uses shuttle buses to transport runners to remote start locations.
Distances offered:
- 50K: 31.0 miles, about 2,100 ft ascent
- 20 Miler: about 20 miles, about 1,400 ft ascent
- 12K: point-to-point coastal and forest course
Courses traverse a mix of coastal terrain, including open sand dunes with tree islands, old growth rainforest, stream fords or crossings, forested single-track trails and remote ocean beaches. The 50K and 20 Miler include stated ascent and descent totals; the 12K begins with a shuttle ride to a forested campground start.
Event services covered by the registration fee include a fully marked course, parking at the finish, chip timing and live results, full-service aid stations, professional medical support, radio communications, a post-race meal and beverages, custom finisher awards and professional photography. Race apparel and other swag must be preordered and are not included in the base fee.
Logistics note: all runners must ride the provided shuttle to start areas; drop-offs and start-area parking are not permitted. Camping is available at Honeyman State Park; hotel lodging is available in Florence. The event beneficiary is Siuslaw High School cross country and track and field programs. The Siuslaw Dunes 12K is part of the USATF Mountain, Ultra, Trail Youth Initiative and offers youth discounts and some free entries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
