Siuslaw Dunes : March 7, 2026

Siuslaw Dunes is a set of point-to-point trail races presented by Daybreak Racing at Honeyman State Park, about 3 miles south of old town Florence, Oregon. Courses traverse the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area and nearby Siuslaw National Forest, passing open sand dunes with tree islands, old growth rainforest, stream crossings and remote ocean beaches. The event is staged at the East Woahink Day Use Gazebo and parking is available near the finish area.

Races and course data

  • 50K - 31.0 miles; about 2,100 ft ascent and 2,070 ft descent.
  • 20 Miler - point-to-point; about 1,400 ft ascent and 1,400 ft descent.
  • 12K - point-to-point; begins with a shuttle bus ride from Honeyman State Park.

The 12K is part of the USATF Mountain, Ultra, Trail Youth Initiative (age 14-19) and offers a discounted youth fee plus a limited number of free youth entries.

Logistics and other information

All runners must ride event shuttle buses to the start; no drop offs or parking at small trailhead start areas. Camping is available at Honeyman State Park year-round. Registration opens September 1 and closes March 1. Fee ranges listed by registration period include: 50K $125–$150, 20 Miler $105–$125, 12K $65–$80, and 12K Youth $40. The event benefits Siuslaw High School cross country and track and field programs. Registration includes course marking, aid stations, chip timing with live results, medical support, communications, parking, a post-race meal and custom finisher awards.
