Silver Moon Race : Kings River, Reedley CA (April 17-18, 2027)
The Silver Moon Race is a lap-style running event held on a farm in Reedley, California, along the Kings River with access through the Reedley College farms. The course is a 2.5 mile loop that passes orchards, vineyards, oak canopies, and river frontage. Organizers describe the loop as fast and flat, intended for repeated laps across changing light from sunset to night to sunrise.
Race categories include fixed-distance events, timed events, a 100-mile option, and team relays. Support is provided on course with a stocked aid station on every lap offering water, electrolytes, sodas, salty and sweet snacks, PBJs, hot foods overnight, farm-fresh fruit, and frozen popsicles. Brunch is served on Sunday for long-distance participants. The event is chip timed and offers finisher medals, an official shirt, a buckle for 100-mile finishers, trophies for top finishers, free race photos, and official finisher certificates.
Camping spaces are available on the course so crews can support runners from a home base. Event capacity for 2027 is listed at 275 participants. Entry prices are reported in a range from $70 to $280 and individual early-bird fees are listed by race category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
