Event overview
Sikhs In The City stages the Summer Samosa Ultra on Sunday 28 June 2026. The event is a multi-distance road meeting on an undulating but wheelchair-friendly course that is mostly on good tarmac. The certified course starts and finishes at the car park of Mulalley & Co Ltd, Teresa Gavin House, Southend Road, Woodford Green, IG8 8FA. The event is supported by paramedics and marshals and is fully insured.

Entry fees are £39 for the 22km, Marathon and Ultra, £19 for the 10km and £95 per team for the Team Relay Ultra. Entries are limited to 280 places for the longer races and 95 places for the 10km, with a total maximum of 375 entrants. Entries close on 21 June 2026. There are no refunds; transfers are allowed until 19 May.
Format, timing and awards
The event is chip timed with lap-by-lap results. Medal rules: 11 laps of the certified 2.014 km circuit = 22km medal, 21 laps = Marathon medal, at least 25 laps = Ultra medal. Ranking for the Ultra is by total laps completed. Team Relay teams must complete 25 laps in total with only one runner active at a time. Awards are given to the first three males and females in each race and to the first three teams in the Team Relay Ultra. Race numbers and timing chips are collected on the day.
Facilities and other details
There is a bag drop, toilets and a feeding station at the start/finish on each lap serving drinks, chocolate, fruit, tea/coffee and samosa/onion bhaji, plus a table for personal drinks. Free parking is available along the route; participants are asked to park at least 100 m from the start/finish (suggested GPS reference IG4 5PS). Age limits are 18 years for 22km and longer distances, and 11 years if accompanied for the 10km. Sponsorship donations of £150 are accepted to place a business name on the event T-shirt if details are provided by 19 May 2026. Volunteering places are unpaid.
