Sidney Oktoberfest 5K Run/Walk and 10K Run
The Sidney Oktoberfest event on October 3, 2026 in Sidney, Nebraska offers point-to-point 5K and 10K races beginning at the Cheyenne County Community Center and ending at the Cheyenne County Fairgrounds tent. The course runs on gravel and cement, with the majority on paved trails, and is marked and supported by volunteers.
Race logistics include packet pickup at the Cheyenne County Community Center the day before the race and on race morning, and a bag drop at the Community Center with bags delivered to the Oktoberfest tent for post-race pickup. Buses will transport participants from the fairgrounds to the race start; there is no return transportation to the Community Center after the race. Parking is provided at the fairgrounds with a recommended field area near the tent; limited parking is also available at the Community Center.
Aid and post-race provisions are specified: one water station on the 5K, two on the 10K, plus water at the start and finish. Finish-line items include a pretzel bar, bananas, oranges, water and coffee. Entry fees include a long-sleeve tri-blend shirt (shirt guarantee date September 20), bib, finisher medal, post-race snacks, and either a beer voucher for participants 21 and older or homemade kettle corn. Photo identification is required to redeem the beer voucher, which must be claimed by 5 p.m. on October 3.
