Shot in the Dark Whiskey Run 5K
The Shot in the Dark Whiskey Run is an evening, limited-entry 21+ event held in Chandler, Arizona at Springfield Golf Resort. The event features a professionally timed 5K run on a two-lap course that follows golf course cart paths.
Every finisher receives a custom Shot in the Dark shot glass and an exclusive red flask finisher medal with a leather carrying strap. A finish line whiskey pour is provided as part of the post-race celebration. The event also offers free professional race photos with watermark-free downloads and live chip timed results. Optional premium event apparel is available, including a unisex 3/4 sleeve raglan tee and a ladies racerback tank.
Awards are presented to the top 3 overall male and female finishers and to the top 3 male and female finishers in standard age groups starting at 21–24 and extending through 70+. Age group divisions may be adjusted based on participant numbers. The event is live only; there is no virtual race.
Because the celebration area has limited space, the event admits only registered participants into the designated post-race celebration zone. Children and strollers are not allowed at the race or in the celebration area. The organizer notes spots are limited and the event often sells out.
