Course and Route
The Shorwell 10K is a scenic 10 km route through the countryside between Shorwell and Brighstone on the Isle of Wight. The event headquarters, start, and finish are all located at Wolverton Manor in Shorwell. For safety, the use of in-ear or over-ear headphones is not permitted, though bone-conducting headphones are allowed. Running with dogs is also not permitted.
Facilities and Logistics
Registration, number collection, a bag drop, and refreshments are available at the event HQ. Car parking is provided on-site. Two water stations are positioned on the route at approximately the 4 km and 7 km marks, with additional water available at the finish. In hot conditions, runners are advised to carry their own bottles.
Awards and Entry
All finishers receive a medal. There are cash prizes for the first male and first female finishers. Additional prizes are awarded for second and third place male and female finishers, winners of veteran categories (V40-V70 for men, V35-V65 for women), and for male and female teams. On-the-day entries are accepted for a fee of £22.00 (cash or bank transfer only). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
