Shopiere Days Race
The event takes place in Beloit, Wisconsin on the date given by the organizer and uses Sweet-Allyn Park as the finish area. Races start near the intersection of S County Road J and E Creek Road by the Town of Turtle Fire Department.
Distances offered:
- 5K Walk/Run, registration fee $30
- 10K Run, registration fee $40
The 5K course runs east from the start, turns right on S Smith Road, then right on E County Road J, and right on S County J before finishing at Sweet-Allyn Park. The 10K course begins at the same intersection, heads north on S County Highway J, circles the property around the Town Hall center, follows a 1.5 mile trail, then continues on S County Highway J and through a series of roads including E L T Townline Road, E Creek Road, S Smith Road and Turtle Creek Parkway before finishing at Sweet-Allyn Park.
Entry fee includes an event T-shirt and a participation medal. To be guaranteed a T-shirt and medal, registration is required by June 1. Packet pickup occurs on the morning of the event and awards are presented after the races.
After the races there will be live music in the park along with a carnival, a vendor market, and a Tractor and Car Show. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
