Shenandoah Sky
Shenandoah Sky takes place on May 15, 2027 in Bentonville, Virginia at 350 Daughter of Stars Dr. The event offers trail races and a hike along the Massanutten Mountain Ridge with river and valley sections.
Distances and formats include:
- 25K Mountain 25K trail race with 1700+ feet elevation gain.
- 8 Miles Trail 8 Miler trail race with 600 feet elevation gain.
- 8 Miles 8 Mile Hike untimed with 600 feet elevation gain.
Courses begin along the river, follow the valley past views of surrounding mountains, and climb into forested sections with occasional canopy views. Trails are mostly smooth rolling single track with sections of double track and slightly technical terrain. The routes split when they pass the start area; 8 Mile participants continue toward the finish while the 25K proceeds into steeper climbs and descents.
Registration opens July 27, 2026 and closes August 10, 2026. Registration fees listed are $60 for the Mountain 25K, $50 for the Trail 8 Miler, and $40 for the 8 Mile Hike. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
