Shannon Trail Series
The Shannon Trail Series is a three-race trail series in San Angelo, Texas, held from January 17 to February 21, 2026. The series takes place at Middle Concho Park, Twin Buttes Reservoir (Boat Ramp), and San Angelo State Park (Chaparral Pavilion). Race distances, scoring and rules
- Race 1 (Middle Concho Park, January 17, 2026) - 5K, 10K
- Race 2 (Twin Buttes Boat Ramp, January 31, 2026) - 5K, 12K
- Race 3 (San Angelo State Park, February 21, 2026) - 5K, 15K
Races are chip timed and awards are based on gun time. Finisher medals are given at each race only to finishers on race day. Each race awards overall Top 3 male and female for both distances. Series scoring separates short and long courses and separates overall and age group scoring. Points start at 1000 for first place, then 999 for second, 998 for third, and so on; points from the three races are added to determine series standings. Series age group medals (top 3 male/female) require finishing all three races beginning in 2026. Tie breakers for series standings use total raw time. Walking is allowed; pets are not permitted on the course; strollers are not appropriate for the terrain. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
