Event overview
The Shakespeare Marathon & Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 26 April 2026 in Stratford-upon-Avon (CV37 7LS). The event is run on closed roads and the organiser describes the course as flat and fast. Entries are available at different prices: Half Marathon £40, Marathon £45, and a Shakespeare Hospice charity place £80.

Course and logistics
The route leaves the town centre, passes the racecourse, then goes through Luddington and Welford-on-Avon before joining the Stratford Greenway back into Stratford-upon-Avon. The half marathon finishes via The Recreation Ground. The marathon completes a second, extended loop that goes through Long Marston before returning to The Recreation Ground. Each kilometre is marked with distance flags and marshals guide and cheer on the course.
Services included
Entries include a themed medal, chip-timed results, free official event photographs, post-race refreshments and on-course support from marshals. An event village with food and drink options is provided. The organiser notes work on sustainability and offers an optional event t-shirt through a kit partner.
