Shakespeare Marathon & Half Marathon
The Shakespeare Marathon and Half Marathon take place in Stratford-upon-Avon on 25 April 2027. The event uses a predominantly road closed course that passes through Warwickshire countryside and parts of the town.
The route starts in the town centre and heads past the racecourse before running through Luddington and Welford-on-Avon. Runners then join the Stratford Greenway, a hard compact footpath that provides smooth, consistent surface on the return leg into Stratford-upon-Avon. The finish is at the Recreation Ground.
Distances:
- Half Marathon - one lap of the course, finish at the Recreation Ground.
- Marathon - two laps; second loop extends through Long Marston.
Entries include a unique themed medal, chip timed results, official event photographs, and post-race refreshments. Each kilometre is marked with distance flags and marshals are positioned along the course. An event village provides food and drink options and free partner goodies at the finish.
