Shakespeare Marathon & Half Marathon
The Shakespeare Marathon & Half Marathon takes place on 26 April 2026 in Stratford-upon-Avon. It is a closed road event that offers both a marathon distance and a half marathon distance.

The course is described as flat and fast. The half marathon follows a single lap while the marathon covers two laps, with the marathon route including a second extended loop through Long Marston. The route moves from the town centre past the racecourse, through Luddington and Welford-on-Avon, then onto the Stratford Greenway before returning to Stratford-upon-Avon and finishing at The Recreation Ground.
Entries include a unique themed medal, chip timed results, free official event photographs, and post-race refreshments. Each kilometre is marked with distance flags and marshals are present along the course. An event village provides food and drink options and free partner goodies at the finish. There is an optional event t-shirt available at a discount when purchased at checkout in partnership with RT Kit. The organiser notes an emphasis on sustainability in event delivery.
The event supports The Shakespeare Hospice as its 2026 Charity of the Year. The hospice offers services including Day Hospice, Hospice at Home, Rehabilitation and Therapy Services, Transitional Care, and a Children and Family Support Service.
