Shadows of Lancaster Adventure Race
Shadows of Lancaster is a Halloween theme scavenger hunt race held in Lancaster on 10/31/2026. Teams of three to five people follow clues, solve challenges, and locate hidden sites across the city to accumulate location based points. The course covers approximately 3.5 miles and must be completed on foot; the use of bikes, scooters, or other transportation will result in disqualification.
The event partners with Rachel's Creperie & Café, which serves as the start and finish location at 201 W. Walnut Street, Lancaster. Lancaster Vice contributes historical and local storytelling elements that appear within the course clues. Prizes are awarded to the top three teams based on accumulated points.
Registration opens on 6/22/2026 and closes on 10/24/2026; the registration fee is $35. After the race, canned cocktails will be available for purchase from Not Pizza and breakfast will be available at Rachel's Creperie & Café. Costumes are encouraged. The format allows walking, jogging, or running as modes of participation, and teams should plan to navigate the city streets and investigate local history and ghost stories as part of the challenge.
