Shadows of Lancaster Adventure Race
The Shadows of Lancaster Adventure Race is a Halloween-themed scavenger hunt and foot race taking place in Lancaster on 10/31/2026. Teams of 3 to 5 people follow clues and solve challenges across the city to locate hidden sites and collect location-based points. The course covers approximately 3.5 miles and can be walked, jogged, or run.
Clues and challenges highlight Lancaster's haunted history, local legends, ghost stories, forgotten past, and hidden geography, with contributions from Lancaster Vice and Uncharted Lancaster. Any team using bicycles, scooters, or other transportation will be disqualified.
Teams compete to accumulate points at locations along the route; prizes are awarded to the top three teams. The event starts and finishes at Rachel's Creperie & Café, 201 W Walnut Street, Lancaster. After the race, canned cocktails will be available for purchase from Not Pizza, and breakfast will be available at Rachel's.
