Seward Freedom Run - 2026
The Seward Freedom Run takes place Saturday, July 4, 2026 in Seward, Nebraska. The event is based at the Seward Wellness Center (northwest corner of Waverly Rd and Karol Kay Blvd.). Walkers are welcome. Restrooms are available and a post-race fruit bar will be provided.

Online registrants who register by June 20, 2026 will receive a race t-shirt. Early bird pricing through February 28: $30 for the 10K and $20 for the 2 Mile. Regular pricing through June 20: $35 for the 10K and $25 for the 2 Mile. A no-shirt registration option is available at higher fees through July 3. One child age 10 and under may enter the 2 Mile free with a paying adult; a shirt may be added for $10 by June 20.
The race is timed with MyLaps BibTag Technology by Precision Race Results of Omaha. The course starts and finishes at the north end of the Wellness Center parking lot, follows the entry boulevard west, turns south toward Waverly Rd, continues east on Waverly Rd to Karol Kay Blvd, then south on Karol Kay Blvd to the Plum Creek Trail. Runners follow Plum Creek Trail to designated turnaround points and return the same route to the finish.
Top three male and female finishers in each age class receive medals. Cash prizes are awarded to top finishers in each race. No pets are allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
