Seward Freedom Run - 2026
The Seward Freedom Run is scheduled for July 4, 2026, in Seward, Nebraska. The event uses the Seward Wellness Center and its north parking lot as the start and finish area. Walkers are welcome.
Distances offered:
- 10K (6.2 mile) Freedom Run
- 2 Mile Fun Run
- One child age 10 and under with a paying adult
The course runs from the north end of the Wellness Center parking lot west to the entry boulevard, then south toward Waverly Road. Runners continue east on Waverly Road to Karol Kay Boulevard, proceed south along Karol Kay Boulevard on the wide sidewalk, and access the Plum Creek Trail. Participants follow the Plum Creek Trail to a designated turnaround point for each race and then return along the same route to the Wellness Center finish.
Event amenities noted include available restrooms and a post-race fruit bar. Check-in and packet pick-up are provided. Race timing is handled with MyLaps BibTag Technology by Precision Race Results of Omaha. Top three finishers in each male and female age category receive medals. Cash prizes are listed for top finishers in each event and age classes are organized by standard ranges from 10 and under through 70 and over. No pets are allowed.
