Seward Freedom Run - 2026
The Seward Freedom Run takes place on July 4, 2026 in Seward, Nebraska, with the Seward Wellness Center serving as the event location and the start and finish area. Restroom facilities are available and a post race fruit bar is provided. The event uses MyLaps BibTag Technology for race timing and does not allow pets.
Available race options include:
- 10K (6.2 mile) Freedom Run
- 2 Mile Fun Run
- One child age 10 and under with paying adult (free entry)
The course begins and finishes at the north end of the Seward Wellness Center parking lot. Runners proceed west to the entry boulevard, turn south toward Waverly Road, then run east on Waverly Road to Karol Kay Boulevard. The route continues south on Karol Kay Boulevard along the wide sidewalk to the Plum Creek Trail. Participants follow the trail to designated turnaround points for each race and return along the same route to the finish line.
Prizes and awards are provided by age class for male and female participants. Top three finishers in each gender category receive medals. Cash prizes are listed for overall places in the 10K and the 2 mile events. Note that event shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after June 15.
