Seven Oaks Travel Trot
The Seven Oaks Travel Trot is an annual community event held in Ellettsville, Indiana. The race follows a course that starts and finishes on the campus of Seven Oaks Classical School, located at 200 E Association Street. Participants move through the local Ellettsville residential neighborhood during the event.
The event serves as a fundraiser to support student travel for eighth-grade trips to Washington D.C. and high school junior and senior trips to Europe. It offers options for both runners and walkers:
- 5K running race
- 5K walk
This is a family-oriented gathering where participants may bring strollers to navigate the course with children. Children under the age of nine are permitted to participate without registration when accompanied by a parent, though they are not eligible for a participant shirt. For adult participants and children aged nine and older, registration is required.
Following the physical activities, a chili and bake sale takes place at the finish line, where warm drinks are also available. Attendees have access to the school's playground area. Medals are awarded to the first, second, and third-place overall male and female runners. The first 50 individuals to register receive a t-shirt as part of their entry.
