Seven Oaks Travel Trot 5K
Seven Oaks Classical School in Ellettsville, Indiana hosts its second annual Travel Trot to raise funds for two student trips: the 8th grade trip to Washington D.C. and the high school junior and senior trip to Europe. The event uses a course that starts and ends on the Seven Oaks campus and runs through the surrounding Ellettsville neighborhood.
There are two event categories for the 5K distance: a run / run-walk category, where participants may run the entire distance or combine running and walking, and a competitive race walk, where participants must walk the entire distance with no running allowed.
On-site registration and check-in will be held in the Seven Oaks parking lot at 200 E Association Street on race day. General registration opens on 2026-09-10 and closes on 2026-10-23. Pricing is $25 through Oct. 22, increases to $30 for Oct. 23 and race day, and is $5 for children up to 9 years of age. T-shirts are available for an additional $5 if registered by Oct. 9.
Awards include medals for 1st through 3rd overall finishers, male and female, in both the run and the walk. The run also recognizes the top male and female in each 10-year age group (10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+) and the top three male and female finishers in the 9 and under category.
After the finish there will be a chili and bake sale with warm drinks and access to a newly opened playground. The event is a member of the Magnificent 7 Race Series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
