Seven Oaks Travel Trot 5K
Seven Oaks Classical School in Ellettsville, IN hosts its third annual Travel Trot 5K to raise funds for two student trips: the 8th grade trip to Washington D.C. and the high school junior and senior trip to Europe. The course starts and finishes on the Seven Oaks campus and runs through the nearby Ellettsville neighborhood.
- 5K RUN / RUN-WALK - run the entire distance or combine running and walking.
- 5K RACE WALK - competitive race walk where participants must walk the entire distance.
On-site registration and check-in are available on race day in the parking lot of Seven Oaks at 200 E Association Street. General registration opens Sept 10 and closes Oct 23. Registration is $25 until midnight Oct 22, then $30 for Oct 23 and race day. Children up to 9 years pay $5. T-shirts are an additional $5 if registered by Oct 9.
Medals are awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall finishers, male and female, in both the run and the walk. For the run, the top male and female finisher in each 10-year age group (10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+) will receive an award. In the 9 and under category for the run, the top 3 male and female finishers are recognized.
A chili and bake sale, warm drinks, and access to a playground are available at the finish area. The event may be delayed in severe weather and is assessed in 15-minute increments; it will be canceled after four such delays. The Race Director, with local law enforcement, may cancel or delay the event. If canceled for threatening weather, no refunds will be provided. Emergency Plans will be available on-site.
