About the race

The Scrub Run is a 3 km community run and walk held at the Tygerberg Medical Campus Rugby Field in Cape Town. The event is organised by Stellenbosch Nursing Social and hosted by the Stellenbosch University Nursing & Midwifery Class of 2026 in collaboration with the Physiotherapy Society.

Participants may run or walk the course and are encouraged to wear scrubs if they are healthcare students or professionals; other attendees may wear comfortable clothing. The programme includes music and a relaxed social atmosphere at the finish. All proceeds from the event will go towards funding the Stellenbosch University Nursing & Midwifery Class of 2026 Graduation Ball.

Prizes are awarded for top finishers and include a ScrubLab scrub set for first place and a TANC Core scrub set for second place, along with additional prizes. The event is presented as family friendly and open to the public.
