Scotland's Washed Out Bridge Endurance Challenge
The town of Scotland, Connecticut presents an out and back endurance running challenge held on August 15, 2026 at 47 Brook Rd, Scotland CT 06264. Participants have two hours to run from the starting point toward the one lane temporary bridge and back. Each out-and-back loop covers one mile and entrants must complete at least one loop.
Organizers will provide neon jelly bracelets to help participants keep track of laps. No runner will be allowed to re-enter the course during the final ten minutes of the two hour window. Because the event takes place in the evening, participants are encouraged to wear neon clothing. A personal light device such as a handheld light, headlamp, or lit vest is required for anyone who continues on the course from 8pm until 9pm.
