Scotland Coast to Coast
Scotland Coast to Coast is a multisport, mass-participation event across the Scottish Highlands on 12-13 September 2026. The route passes through notable landscapes including Glen Coe and the shores of Loch Ness and finishes with part of the West Highland Way.
Distances:
- Run on foot: 21 miles (34 km)
- Bike: 78 miles (125 km)
- Kayak: 1 mile (1.6 km)
Participants can complete the route in one day or split it over two days. The one day option combines multiple road and off-road cycling sections, a mountain trek of about 14 miles and a final kayak. The two day option finishes day one at Invergarry and resumes with further cycling, a mountain trek and the same kayak finish on day two. Detailed stage distances are published for each format.
The course is fully waymarked with bright orange arrows and supported by private mountain safety staff. Medical cover is provided by a professional event medic service with paramedics and doctors in vehicles and an ambulance. Organisers provide limited bag transport between stages, bookable bus transfers, and a campsite option at the finish for day one. Sit on top kayaks and water safety are supplied; kayaking is normally in pairs.
A minimum age of 18 applies at registration. Cut-off times are enforced for safety and apply to departures from specified locations. Prices for 2026 entries are listed per person for both formats. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
