About the race
The Schuster Tegernseelauf is an established running event held in Gmund am Tegernsee, Germany. The event features a variety of distances suitable for different age groups and experience levels, with the start and finish area located at Gut Kaltenbrunn. Participants run against the backdrop of the Bavarian Alps and along the shores of Lake Tegernsee.
Available distances include:
- 21.1 km (Half Marathon): A circuit around the lake featuring flat sections and short waves.
- 10 km: A fast turnaround course.
- 5 km (Youth Run): A turnaround course for participants born between 2007 and 2016.
- 1.5 km (Children's Run): A secured short course for participants born between 2012 and 2020.
The event utilizes electronic net timing via a chip integrated into the race number. Several refreshment stations are positioned along the 21.1 km and 10 km routes, providing water, isotonic drinks, and fruit. A general cut-off time of 3 hours and 30 minutes applies to all distances. The registration fee includes a finisher medal and a functional shirt. Pacemakers are provided for specific target times in the half marathon and 10 km races.
