The Schneekopflauf in Schmiedefeld is a challenging running competition that will take place on July 6, 2024. The event offers two routes: a 12.7 km route with approximately 450 meters of elevation gain and a 22.2 km route with approximately 850 meters of elevation gain, which has been newly introduced since 2022. The race starts at the sports field in Schmiedefeld, goes over the Großer Finsterberg, and ends at the Schneekopf.
