About the race
Located at Schenck Forest near NC State along Reedy Creek Rd in Raleigh, the Schenck Forest Trail Race is a 6.2-mile run on single-track trails through creeks and rolling hills adjacent to Umstead Park. Racers wind through the Carl Alwin Schenck Memorial Forest, a 245-acre teaching and research forest managed by NC State. The course features forest crossings, bridges, and sandy banks along Richland Creek, offering a challenging, nature-forward atmosphere in Raleigh’s hidden trail gem.
