Scenic Mountain Triathlon : Richwood, WV
The event is a 23.8 mile triathlon held within the Monongahela National Forest under a special use permit. The course begins with a 0.5 mile swim in Summit Lake, continues with a 17.1 mile bike ride over Kennison Mountain (elevation 3,988 feet) to the Cranberry Mountain Nature Center, and finishes with a 6.2 mile run down to the Cranberry Glades and back to the Cranberry Mountain Nature Center.

The event offers individual and team entries. Early registration fees listed are Individual $75 and Team $135. On-site late registration fees are noted as Individual USAT member $95, Individual non USAT member $110, and Team $200. Registration opens February 17, 2026 and closes July 8, 2026; shirts are only guaranteed for registrations completed by June 30, 2026, after which extra shirts are distributed first-come, first-served.
