Savills Sandymount Night Run – March Edition
The Savills Sandymount Night Run is a midweek evening running event on Dublin Bay that uses Sean Moore Park and Sandymount Strand. The route is a measured loop that is fully marshalled and designed for timed results.
Distances
- 5 km, one lap of the loop
- 10 km, two laps of the loop
Chip timing is used for accurate results and every finisher receives a medal and an event running t shirt. Finish-line refreshments and post-race goodies are provided. There is a bag drop beside the start and finish area; participants are asked to use the baggage label on their race number and to bring one small bag, preferably waterproof.
Facilities and race details include toilets at the start and finish only, no showers or changing facilities, and a single water station on the 10 km course at about 5.5 km; 5 km runners rely on finish-line refreshments. Paper cups are used at the water station and should be discarded in bins provided.
The course is not wheelchair accessible due to the terrain. Parking along the seafront is limited and there is no event parking at Clanna Gael GAA club; public transport and carpooling are advised. The event enforces a 90 minute cut-off time and follows standard race number dispatch and collection procedures. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
