The Emu Endure
The Emu Endure is a timed running event held in Staines-upon-Thames. This seven-hour time challenge takes place on a course along the River Thames, primarily using tarmac and well-made paths with a short grass section. The route is fully signed, and road shoes are suitable for the terrain. Participants can choose the distance they wish to complete by running as many or as few laps as they prefer within the time limit.
A standard lap is 4.37 miles (7 km), though this is subject to change based on course conditions. The event accommodates various distances, including:

Facilities at the venue include toilets available for changing, though there are no dedicated showers. An aid station at the start and finish of each lap provides water and a variety of sweet and savoury snacks, with vegan options included. Finishers receive a themed medal and a goody bag.
