Event

This is a 7 hour timed challenge held at Wraysbury Skiff & Punting Club, Egham, TW20 0AE. Entry is open to a maximum of 300 participants and entries close on 06/08/2026. Transfers are allowed online for a fee of £2.50 up to 23:59 the day before the event; deferral to another event is available for a one-off fee of £18 if arranged before the event. Entry fees are listed as Affiliated £25.00 and Unattached £27.00. Headphones are allowed. The minimum age to take part is 12 years.

Distances and rules

  • 3 km minimum distance to be an official finisher.
  • 4.37 miles / 7 km full lap (may change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions).
  • 3 laps equals a half marathon.
  • 6 laps equals a marathon.
  • 7+ laps qualifies as an ultra; a 50 km distance is available.
    Anyone wishing to run over 45 km must be 20 years or older; 18 and 19 year olds may run up to 45 km.

Course and facilities

The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames, is fully signed, and uses mainly well made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section; road shoes are suitable year-round. Toilets and changing facilities are available at the race headquarters, which also has a cafe. There is a pay-on-exit car park at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds at the event start. An aid and drinks table is provided at the start/finish of each lap with a selection of savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items. Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a medal and a goody bag; vegan goody bags are available. Distance pins are issued for half-marathon and longer distances.
