About the race
The Sardinia Trail is an ultra trail staged race held over three consecutive days in early May on Sardinia. The event covers about 100 km in total with approximately 4,000 m of positive elevation gain. The route crosses inland mountain areas and coastal sections, passing through the Gennargentu massif and the Ogliastra beaches, and involves multiple municipalities including Arzana, Cardedu, Desulo, Gairo, Urzulei and Tertenia.
The race format is three distinct stages in different locations, with stage distances as follows:
- 25.09 km, first stage
- 40.9 km, second stage
- 33.7 km, third stage
Registration details for the referenced edition include tiered fees and a participant cap of 100 entrants. A valid USIP or FIDAL membership card is mandatory to enter. The registration fee covers a race pack, on-course assistance and refreshment points for all three stages, a pasta party after each stage, a finisher medal, and the Sardinia Trail 2026 shirt. Additional services offered include a shuttle for the stages (contribution €50 for three days) with transfers from Resort Perdepera, partner hotel nights, ferry agreements and massage services.
