About the race
Sardinia Trail is a three-day staged ultra trail held in May in Sardinia. The event covers a total of 100 km divided into three distinct stages, with about 4,000 m of cumulative positive ascent. Each stage is held in a different location along the route.
Distances for the three stages:
- 25.09 km first stage
- 40.9 km second stage
- 33.7 km third stage
The course runs through municipalities including Arzana, Cardedu, Desulo, Gairo, Urzulei and Tertenia, crosses the Gennargentu massif and reaches the coastal area of Ogliastra. There are additional participation options: single-stage entry and a Short 18 km race.
Registration details on the source include a membership requirement and a limited field. A USIP/FIDAL membership is mandatory. Entry fees listed for the referenced edition are €200 until 31 December 2025, €250 until 01 May 2026 and €300 until 04 May 2026. Registrations close when the 100th entry is reached.
The entry fee for the referenced edition includes the race pack, assistance and supplies along the three stages, a pasta party at the end of each stage, a finisher medal and the Sardinia Trail 2026 shirt. Additional paid services mentioned are a three-day shuttle for stages (€50 from Resort Perdepera), partner hotel nights, ferry conventions with Grimaldi Lines and massage services.
