Santa's Toy Trot - 5K, 10K, Half Marathon
Santa's Toy Trot is a holiday running event held in Santa Monica on 12/13/2026 with multiple distance options. The race starts at Tongva Park near 1615 Ocean Avenue and uses out-and-back courses along the waterfront.
Distances offered:
- 5K one lap on the 5k route
- 10K two laps of the 5k route
- Half Marathon the 5m route twice and the 5k route once
The course is open to other users, and runners are asked to stay on the paved side of the path. Turns are marked with chalk, a runner turn sign, and a flag. On-course support includes a fully stocked water station at Belmont Pier and an aid station at the finish with water, gatorade, gels, and fruit snacks. Each aid station carries a first aid kit, and crew members have received CPR training.
Logistics noted by the organizer include limited street parking on Ocean Avenue, several public lots within a short walk, and a nearby E Line station. Bibs should be worn on the front of the shirt for time tracking and photo identification. A staffed gear check is available at the registration tent; participants are asked to bring their own bag. All finishers receive a medal, and overall first place male and female in each distance receive 1st place medals.
