Santa's Toy Trot – 5K, 10K, Half Marathon
Santa's Toy Trot is a holiday-themed running event in Santa Monica that includes multiple distances and a toy drive requiring an unwrapped new toy as a gift. The event starts and finishes near Tongva Park and Palisades Park along Ocean Avenue.

The 5K course is a single lap; the 10K uses the same route for two laps. The half marathon follows a 4.37-mile loop run three times. The course runs on shared paved paths, and participants are asked to stay on the paved side of the path. Turns are marked with chalk, runner turn signs, and flags.
On-course support includes a fully stocked water station at Belmont Pier and a finish-line aid station with water, gatorade, gels, and fruit snacks. Each aid station has a first aid kit and crew members who have received CPR training.
Logistics notes include limited street parking on Ocean Avenue, several public parking lots within short walking distance including the Civic Center Parking Lot, and an E Line station nearby. Bib pick-up and a registration tent for gear check are located at Tongva Park. All finishers receive a medal; overall first place male and female in each distance receive special first place medals.
